The catfights on this show are so dramatic, especially that background music. I like the catfights on Melrose Place.

I disagree with you brownstony to a certain extent. Dynasty became why better than Dallas in the early to mid 80's. Both shows really started to lose their appeal (or ratings started to drop) when they kept putting their main characters in these stupid, unrealistic plots or life & death cliffhangers. Falcon Crest was good, but in the end, Knots Landing was the best (& most realistic) out of all the primetime soaps IMO.

indeed. after its success the shapiros decided to included a catfight in the show every now and then. However, thsi was the original!!!

Perfect one-sided catfight between bigger, taller, stronger, better-built Linda Evans ( Krystal ) and diminutive, slighter, obviously weaker Joan Collins ( Alexis ). Krystal really mops up the studio with Alexis in this one - doing everything except knocking the poor little brunette out!

Knots who? Knots didn't compare in the least to Dynasty. And Falcon Crest didn't get better until the added Lana Turner. But even then Dynasty was still the best.
