Yes only some of those actress who can sing like Hashimah Yon (in Nujum Pak Belalang), Rahmah Rahmat (in Musang Berjanggut). Other than that, singers like Saloma would be his choice, beside Normadiah.

I'm not entirely sure but I've read somewhere that P Ramlee usually insists on his female leads to actually the songs for the movie parts,since the Jalan Ampas days.But for the record version ur rite it's Saloma.I compared the songs from the movie and the record(studio version), the arrangements and voice were slightly different.

I love this movie! It was the first time Malay dialect was spoken in a movie by Sharifah Hanim. She sang this song with P Ramlee not Saloma.You're totally wrong my friend,it's Saloma who sang in the film. That's 101% sure. Who doesn't recognise Saloma's vocal? it's so obvious - and in those days, singers like Saloma used to sing for certain actresses in films where actress as heroine usually are not singers ...

silap tu danceforme .........handsome macam GAJAH (bukan mcm kaca)...nak di rhyme kan ikut suku kata .... abangku yang GAGAH .... ( .... bunyi nak sama macam GAJAH .... pun satu macam gaya usik-usik bergurau antara pasangan yg sedang naik syiok bercinta)..... dan nak buat makar sama (lawak la).....agar lagu tu tak ler serius sangat.
