it all depends on which genre of music you prefer... i personally like metallica's versoin better... props to BOC though...damn good song...

this is pretty awesome. i had only heard metallica's version but funilly enough i found this vid when searching for astronomy the science=p I couldnt help but notice everyones bitching so heres my opinion. I love metallica's version of this song coz i love metal and they made this song really powerfull but i'd have to say this ones better coz its totally trippy and prog and they wrote it so no contest really! Mind you Hetfield sings it awesomely aw who knows im thankfull we have both to be fair!

This song is very beautiful and it does a hell of a job to bring calm to some souls. Metallica did a nice job with their cover and I do prefer it. But BOC's version keeps that stream of energy. Both bands do a fucking awesome job. Nuff said.

An amazing song, very beautiful one. I think it is the best classic rock song I´ve listened in my life. Listen it at 4.20... an incredible guitar solo metallicas cover is absolutely short to BöC's song. It´s just lame and another kind of style, it looses all BöC's magic.
