they wanted to go back to the old days and do what they thought was right and i think they did a great jump on the new album. Metallica arnt sellouts they just wanted to experiment with load and reload. And with St anger they had to face their demons. i think those 3 albums had a few great songs but death magnetic is 100% great

calling load and reload sellout albums is just plain wrong. if they were being creative and did what felt good, then they didnt sell out. if anything, its death magnetic thats a sellout because the dropped their own artistic ambitions and gave in to whiny old school fans demands. way to kill a band, assholes!

TheFragile89 is right, Load and ReLoad are really underrated, even though there's many great songs on 'em. Like King Nothing, The Memory Remains, Fuel, 2x4, bleeding me etc.

I don't think people understand how good this album is, along with Load. No they aren't metal albums, they are 2 damn good rock n roll albums. They should play more songs off Reload live. Like This one, Unforgiven II, Prince Charming, Attitude, Fixxxer (would be epic), Bad Seed, Devils Dance etc.

I like these albums too, but this is Metallica they dont need to do anything to sell records besides have their name on it. It wasnt about that.
