Yes Isalandretreat....you can assure me....I obviously need the historical interpretations of an idiot who seems to have learned all about the history of Ireland with the word 'Protestant' prefixing it. No...the doctrine has remained largely the same; the belief in the Holy Trinity, the Virgin Birth, the Resurrection, the Eucharist, the Sacraments, devotion to God and loyalty to His earthly church. The use of the word 'idolater' is ridiculous..what has that got to do with anything?

Patrick founded the Celtic Church in Hibernia to act independently of the Papacy. He preached from the unpolluted well of Holy Scripture..
You said he "taught the same doctrine that Irish people have followed for centuries". That's impossible because the church of Rome is different every century. New doctrines have been introduced over the years. And i can assure you, Patrick didn't wear a crucifix as some sort of fashion statement. He was a true believer, and not some part time idolater.

Ok Islandretreat I think it's time you backed down....
St. Patrick was a Catholic my poor uneducated friend. He taught Catholic doctrine, the same doctrine that Irish people have followed for centuries.
I really don't think there's much point in you saying much more.....because you really are on a downward spiral here.....

Patrick was never canonized by the Vatican because he was never a Roman Catholic. And for your information, the first 'Univseral bishop' was appointed by Rome in the 7th century, long after Patrick had died. Malachy (a Reformer) introduced Romanism. Popery reared its ugly head in 1155AD when Pope Adrian issued a papal bull which brought the Celtic Church (Patrick's congregation) under Roman rule and rented Hibernia to the English RC King Henry II (To Rome basically). Known as Peter's penny!

Luther put James at back of his bible, but he was wrong, as faith without works is dead.the evidence of a faith is to produce at least some fruit, from at least one talent, and even smoke produces fire.some 30 fold some more.
the sinaticus n.i.v.vaticanus douay are the same text.i stay with a.v. wich used the greek and hebrew, rejecting all latin text.

Also what makes you thing they run the patent office? There is nothing occult about them. Believe me I'm into Engineering. Tesla wasn't entirely crazy we still use some of his technology. He did however have a big feud with Edison which had a large impact on whose inventions and forms of electricity became more wide spread. What's your next outrageous claim?
dfj88 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Me a nut case!? the only answer is I am not. No need fo name calling because you don`t like the truth. I am a free thinking, independant man, who happens to be Catholic. Did you know that it was the Jesuit missoinaries that brought quinine back from Peru to Europe? it was greatly responsible for irradicating malaria! They actually used to call it "Jesuit's Bark". They have saved many people from an aweful disease if noting else. So yes thank them.
dfj88 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Yes the Latin vugates are still used and are official however there are English versions used by Catholics also some of which are about as close as you can come to the original greek. If you want to talk about taking things out that don't suit your purposes, you may want to look in into the protestants removing entire books from the Bible.

The 12th Century? St. Patrick was a Catholic, a Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church. His teachings were based on his Catholic beliefs (or Popery as you would call it). Once again you demonstrate a profound idiocy. And as for your opinions about the Jesuits ("Its an occult secret society with the blood of tens of millions on its hands")....pure crap basically. Ah well....I suppose everyone needs a laugh.
Islandretreat (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
"Even the Jesuits you dislike so much had contributions beneficial for everyone."
Utter nonsense. They run the patent office. The Jesuits stole the Serbian Nikola Tesla's inventions which could have transformed the 20th century. They hushed them up and made him out to be a crazy scientist. Its an occult secret society with the blood of tens of millions on its hands. And you think we should thank them? Give them a big pat on the back? What sort of nut-case are you... |
