Most good players suspect you since you're not already in costume, it works on occasion (and always if you're running backwards and don't hit anyone).
Its the costume you use if every other option has been used too many times.

and I try to isolate one person... but doing this I dont follow them around everywhere they go... i looks suspicious instead I keep them in the corner of my eye and anticipating where they are going to go ... once I get the kill I move to another blind spot and take there class as my disguise and repeat what I did again... try to avoid running into people as much as you can but dont make it look suspicious. If you see a pack of enemies coming towards you try to slip through.

Hey, NotPigeon. For me personally I looked at the videos and took the blindspots to help me. Also I took the advice of getting all the way behind enemy lines. Basically what I do is: I disguise my self as a engie or other peeps, then I use my cloak to get behind all the way to there spawn... if there is a great distance between that I stop at a few blindspots that I found and recharge my cloak there. Once im behind enemy lines I dont always go for the quick kill... I stay in there for a while

because spies cloak a lot, and different teams give off a a different glow.

why is spy disguise not recommended? |
