However, I agree with lupunyasuka, we are stau rumpun with Indonesia and we have the rights over using the song. But in claiming this title back, the Malaysian goverment has to do something with article 160(2) of the malaysian constitution. Instead of declaring all of these javanese, Boyanese as malays, they should instead have done something like Indonesia, identify this people according to their own ethnic origin and maintain that Unity in diversity policy.

The fact is they are the same ethnicity as you indonesians. These so-called malays are "javanese, Bataks, bugis, baiwanese, etc. a mix of every race in Nusantara. ' Before malaysia was formed, the British colonialist have problem in organising their colonial subjects into tribes and as a result, the Birtish has took the word "melayu" and named it for all tribes that came around the Nusantara archaepologo and live in the Peninsular of Malaya. Dats teh truth and it should not be suppressed.

malay is not a correct word to define who we are. We are actually Austronesians... Suku ras bangsa Malayo-polynesian. Aku rasa that is the right word to describe us based on our language, ancestral believe etc. That means people in Nusantara, The merina in Madagascar and the Polynesians are our Cousins regardless religion and culture. Sekartelaga, dun claim Malaysians steal culture from Indonesia coz these so-called "malays" had been lied by their goverment on their true identity.

Lupunyasuka, itu kata org2 kat negara kita. kalau kat indon, orang jawa, orang boyan ataupun orang batak tak akan mengaku mereka melayu sebab mengikut fahaman negara mereka , orang melayu adalah puak yang menetap di kawasan Jambi dan palembang dan mereka ada budaya khas mereka sendiri. X macam negara kita, mendefinisikan bangsa "melayu" mengkiut kepala otak penjajah yg bernama Stamford raffles.

I've written this hundreds of times. pls everyone, why must there be malaysia music, indonesia music etc. We live in the Nusantara region, we are Malays. Kita satu rumpun..!! Janganlah ada lagu aku lagu aku, lagu kau lagu kau. Beautuful songs are for everyone. Hidup MELAYU! Who cares whether you're from S'pore, M'sia, Indonesia or Brunei or Whatever. We are MELAYU, Takkan Melayu Hilang Di Dunia. Remember that.....:)
