Indian Chinese border war 1962 India's defeat in 1962 led to an overhaul of Indian Army in terms of doctrine, training, organisation and equipment. Although the Indian Army's defeat by the Chinese in the border war of 1962 was a national humiliation, the nation reacted to the '62 war with an unprecedented surge of patriotism. The main lesson India learned was that right does not make might in the world of geopolitics, and that India must strengthen its defenses and stand on its own feet to be of consequence in the world. India's policy of weaponization via indigenous sources and self-sufficiency was thus cemented. National sovereignty, it would affirmed, could not come at the expense of becoming a client state of any superpower or by joining any military alliance with or under them.

Since you visit India often, next time try to conduct some research into C. Ramchandra's career & a second research into the personal politics of Lata. Go to families of OP Nayyar, SD Burman, C. Ramchandra, Geeta Dutt, Vani Jairam, Mubarak Begum (rich Lata gave her a check for Rupees 50/- to help her financially!) and Usha Iyer!! They will give you plenty of information. To label a person BS 'cos info is not to your liking & without conducting any research is a village mentality. Get rid of it.

I don't think so! Where did you get this information? while it is true C.Ramchandra would have preferred Asha Bhosle, Kavi Pradeep insisted that Lata should sing it. Rest of your information is BS.

The song is great, but Lata did not want to sing this or any song for CRamchandra because she had broken-up with him (they were both lovers, and yes Lata is human). She had already destroyed his music career by refusing to sing for him. When Nehru found this out, he made a personal appeal to Lata to sing this song for the sake of the country! The song was introduced at the Republic Day or the Independence Day parade at India Gate. Lata's talent & politics of personal destruction are legendary!

Salute to the Martyrs of Indian Army who lay their lives for the defense of our nation. Salute to my Indian Army who never invaded any country's land in spite being one of the strongest in the world. China will get a payback from India one day.

My blood boils to see indian leadership still following the iditoic policies of Nehru. Indira was cool though, if she would have been alive today, she would have long time ago resolved the kashmir issue specially she would have taken advantage of india's powerful position in the world today. She was a very brave woman.Rest are chicken shits.
