Yeah, this guy is using the definition as one hit wonder as an artist/group that hit the Billboard U.S. Pop Singles Chart with only one single. Even though several of these bands may have had several tracks that stayed in heavy rotation for a bit in L.A., it didn't catch on here in Chattanooga, Salt Lake City or Baton Rouge probably because most people in these places thought it was, "faget shit that I don't wanna lisen none to. Now put on sum thir-ate(.38) special, Jim Bob and lets git drunk!"

I know what you're saying. I was in Europe from 82-85. They went nuts over most of this fag music. I came back to the states and it was like 1/2 the male population had decided to dress like queers. I stuck with AD/DC and the other head banger bands. I didn't give in to this crap.

Buster Poindexter was in The New York Dolls - an influential band to this day. You can easily trace todays bands back to The Ramones, and from there to the New York Dolls and other bands from NY in the mid 70's. You might as well call The Clash one-hit wonders if you're going to ignore influence and cult followings and only focus on the charts.

The Church has a following to this day. Who cares if they only made the charts once. Most mainstream music sucks ass anyway.

Are you in the US? I listened to KROQ of the 80's in Los Angeles and alot of these so called One Hit Wonders were played on KROQ with more than one hit song. I am not going by The Billboard Charts.

look at the description. One hit wonders in the US pop charts not UK. and they peaked at 4 and nine respectively, not stellarnumbers even for uk standards
